Playa Lagun

Playa Lagun Pelican VillaLagun is the name of the region as well as the fishermen’s village and a beach on the rocky North-Western coast of Curaçao. This coast is also known as ‘Banda Bou’ (low side). The tropical sun shines almost each and every day, however the temperature – with an annual average of 27 degrees Celsius - is very nice, thanks to the refreshing, ever blowing trade winds.

The Pelican Villa is built above the beach known as Playa Lagun. This small beach is embraced by two rockwalls and offers a pittoresque view, also by the fishing boats moored there. The water of the Caribbean sea is calm, shallow and clear. On Playa Lagun a large Manzaliña tree is providing shadow. In this part of Curaçao you can enjoy the most beautiful natural lagoons, beaches and coral reefs. Fantastic facilities for scuba diving and snorkeling are at hand. Lovers of fishing and sailing can eat their heart out also.

Pelican Villais located at 100 metres from the public beach. There’s a diving school and a ‘snèk’, the typical Curaçao food stall offering tasty snacks. In the village is a ‘toko’ (small shop)Lagun Bay Pelican Villa for your daily food and drinks, a supermarket can be reached by car within 15 minutes. In the Lagun region you can visit some stunning natural areas as well as former colonial plantations and estates. For instance the Kenepa Estate (Knip), one of the best preserved, and the Daniel Estate, built about 1700 and therefore one of the oldest on the island.
